Fanholes Episode # 30: I Shall Become A Most Excellent Super-Bat!

In anticipation of the Batman: Year One DTV adaptation, the gang discusses the original source material from the comics and the adaptations that could possibly follow. Frank Miller's "Batman Year One" and John Byrne's "Man of Steel" are juxtaposed with Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" and Alan Moore's "Whatever Happened to The Man of Tomorrow?"

Crazy Like a Snake

Crazy Like a Snake
Show 017: A Manual Beheading
Sep. 29, 2011 (119:57)

Open wide...it's your big fat weekly dose of Crazy Like a Snake, arguably the best podcast to ever originate from the greater East Texas area (with Skype-in co-hosts from Great Britain and Malaysia). Feel free to prove me wrong on that one. Two hours of conversation, sound clips, and dubiously-sourced music. Let Joe, Randy, and Ben do an auditory three-way and make your earholes airtight. And yeah, it's still free...and worth every penny.

Topics on the day include: the porn parody homework assignments are in, and one host got bad marks (spoiler alert: it was Joe), Randy takes the test for Aspergers Syndrome with unsurprising results, George Lucas' changes to the three STAR WARS films are discussed (as there are *only* three), and one host won't watch either the ARTHUR remake or the 1988 sequel (spolier alert: it was Randy).

Remember: next week's homework assignment is to come up with five songs for the Crazy Like a Snake mixtape, a wholly original idea we didn't steal from a certain Las Vegas podcast. Leave your suggestions in the comment section and we'll ignore most of them and make fun of the rest.

Got two hours? Got an mp3 player and time to kill? Let us help you...we like killing things.

Podcast Novel about Pig musicians

Episode 35

Enraged by Mina's escape and her decision to change
everything about her style, the saboteur reveals himself to attack
the pigs and Mina's manager.  Not everyone makes it out of this
confrontation alive...

New Episodes of Piggy Moto are
back.  The show is also up live on Podiobooks.com.

Also, this audio novel is available in paper format from the
publisher:  Fur Planet.

For those who've not heard of this story, here's what it's all about:

The great Species Wars have ended, but prejudice and bigotry
persist. Pride and jealousy shape social policy, and lineage, rather
than merit, determines a person's fate. The least and the lowest
live without any voice, trapped under the heels of the well-born.

As a pig, Eberhard Berringer endures the scorn of more noble
species. They think him filthy, base and degenerate. Being a dwarf,
he's even set apart from his own kind, who snicker and stare when he
passes by, but hope for change glimmers on the horizon.

Word of a festival has come from the war-ravaged country of
Lancemyth—an international competition to find the most talented
musicians in all of the known world. With the help of four friends,
Eberhard intends to take that prize and show his countrymen that pigs
are not plebeian. Of course, such endeavors are rarely as simple or
safe as they may seem in the beginning.

Even before the festival begins, a saboteur's vandalism shakes the
pigs' morale. As pranks turn bloody, Eberhard and his friends find
that more than their reputation is at stake; seeing this contest
through could kill them all.

Crazy Like a Snake

Crazy Like a Snake
Show 016: Two Wanks and a Yank
Sep. 22, 2011 (71:34)

Joe Bahru is back, and he joins Ben Lloyd and Randy for the very first man-on-man-on-man three-way episode of CRAZY LIKE A SNAKE. It's zany craziness as the three exchange verbal barbs on one podcast for the first time ever. Must have double-bag collector's item crossover action! It's like magic in a bottle. Only, not so much magic as sleight of hand, and the bottle is broken. And dirty.

Topics on the day include: homeless people, monkeys, typewriters, movies, podcasts, porn, and boobs. Now, I can't remember exactly *where* we talked about boobs in this episode, but it's a safe bet that the discussion happened, and it's there. There are also fleeting references to both the podcast that spun off from this one, HAZY LIKE A FAKE, and the podcast that this show spun off from, THIS AIN'T IOWA. If the people linked in a human centipede had a podcast, it might sound a lot like this one. And it's the *middle* part of the centipede, where you don't even get a breeze.

Crazy Like a Snake

Crazy Like a Snake
Show 015: Simian Circle
Sep. 16, 2011 (78:55)

Randy calls in from a secret location with an ominous warning about the future and allegedly levels salacious (though constitutionally protected) opinions about a certain science fiction love cult/religion. Also, he's seen the Scarlett Johannson nude pictures. Allegedly. And yes, there's a new typewriter in his life. With that and all the 9/11 grief, it's been a big week.

Other topics on the day include: why Randy won't watch the comic book movies, Kelly Preston's perfect breasts in MISCHIEF, why SCREWBALLS was a great film and why PORKY's wasn't, and Randy reveals just who *did* do that narration at the beginning of THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (spoiler alert: it was John Larroquette).

This week's co-host is Ben Lloyd, who sat in last week as well while Joe Bahru was away. Be sure and check out their podcast HAZY LIKE A FAKE, available where podcasts aren't sold.
